"Helpful manager, but I was still a little unsure"
The manager was really nice and helped me understand the unit size and pricing, which I appreciated because I’m always a little worried I’m going to get talked into something or fooled by hidden costs. Check-in was easy because of them, but the facility itself felt a bit confusing and I ended up waiting longer than I expected. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it wasn’t great either. I’d give it 3 stars

"Billing was frustrating, though the service was okay"
The service itself was fine, but my monthly bill never really matched the price I thought I signed up for. Extra fees kept showing up, and when I reached out, support mostly just told me to check the portal. I ended up calling twice and it still didn’t get sorted out. Not the worst experience ever, but definitely more annoying than it needed to be.

The storage unit itself has been totally fine, and I can usually get in when I need to. The only issue is the access hours aren’t always great, especially if I’m trying to stop by after work. It’s not a huge deal, just kind of annoying sometimes and feels avoidable.

I stopped by expecting a simple check-in, but the guy at the front desk made the whole thing feel a bit awkward. He wasn’t very friendly and seemed like he didn’t really want to help. I had to ask a couple of questions, and the answers were short and not all that helpful. It just wasn’t a great first impression...

The place is easy enough to find, which is nice. Beyond that, though, nothing really stood out to me. It’s fine, I guess, if your main requirement is just getting there without much effort.

The storage unit itself has been totally fine, no real complaints there, but the gate access has been kind of hit or miss for me because my code works most days and then one evening it just randomly didn’t, so I ended up sitting there waiting around when I was already in a hurry and just trying to get in and out, which was frustrating. The staff did help me later, so that was good, but it’s still annoying when the gate decides not to cooperate...

I started out with what seemed like a fair price, but then the rent just kept going up every few months with no real explanation. Once your stuff is already in there, it feels like they know you’re stuck and can just keep bumping the price. this is why I don’t really trust storage places anymore.

"Reservation turned into extra work"
I tried reserving a unit through CubeSmart and the whole thing was way more frustrating than it needed to be. The website showed one price at first, but after I filled everything out, the details looked different. Then I never got a clear confirmation email, so I had to call the store and basically go through it all again. Just felt like a bunch of extra work for something that should’ve been simple.

"Bad upkeep at my unit"
The upkeep at my unit has been awful. The place was dirty, there were lights out, and it felt like nobody was doing anything about it for weeks. I kept waiting for someone to actually fix the issues, but nothing happened. What a joke.

The place was okay overall. Nothing too bad, but I did notice some dust on the floor and a few cobwebs in the corners. I was still able to move in fine, I just expected it to be a little cleaner when I got there.

Moving out was straightforward overall, so it’s not even about that. The actual issue was that the office took a while to close out my account, and I had to call twice just to make sure I wasn’t going to get charged again. Not the worst experience, just slower than I expected.

A friend had recommended checking them out, and the rate looked decent online at first. But once I got further along, extra fees and insurance started popping up, which made the total higher than I expected. It felt a little misleading, and I wish everything had been shown upfront...

I tried paying a few times and it kept failing for no clear reason. My card works fine in other places, so I don’t really get why it wouldn’t work here. Maybe the system was just being weird, but either way I couldn’t finish my payment.

"Elevator is always an issue!!!"
I came by to move some boxes in and, of course, the elevator was down again!!! Nobody could really tell me when it was going to be fixed, so I ended up hauling everything up the stairs, which was miserable!!!
This has happened too many times now and it makes paying for storage feel ridiculous!!! The front desk staff was nice enough, but the elevator situation is seriously frustrating and needs to be fixed already!!!

I wasn’t expecting to have to buy insurance, so that was kind of annoying. It wasn’t a huge deal, but I definitely wasn’t thrilled about the extra step or cost. Anyway.

"Parking is okay, but loading could be smoother"
cubesmart was alright overall, but compared to other storage places I’ve used, the parking area felt a little tight. It’s fine if you’re the only one there, but once a couple people are moving things in or out, it starts to feel cramped quickly.
The loading access wasn’t bad, just not as convenient as I was hoping. At some places you can pull up close without much trouble, but here I had to wait a couple times for a better spot to open up near the door.
It’s not a terrible setup, just more average than anything. If you go during a quiet time, it works fine, but weekends are definitely more of a hassle than I’d like.

"Move-In Was Fine, Eventually"
Move-in was mostly easy, aside from the fun little moment where the code didn’t work and I had to stand around waiting for help. The staff was nice once someone finally came over, so that helped. Overall, not terrible by any means, just a bit annoying when you’re trying to get settled and the first thing you run into is a delay.

I’ll be fair and say the place wasn’t terrible overall, but the security didn’t give me much confidence. I didn’t really feel comfortable leaving my stuff unattended, which made it hard to fully relax.

"Not exactly a bargain"
I rented a basic storage unit from CubeSmart Self Storage thinking it would be simple and reasonably priced, but apparently “basic” doesn’t mean “affordable.” The price kept feeling higher than what I was actually getting, and then the extra costs just made the whole thing even more charming.
I wasn’t expecting luxury, just a fair deal for some storage space. Somehow it still ended up feeling overpriced for what it was. If getting good value for your money matters to you, I’d probably look somewhere else
